Circle of Security Parenting is a group for parents of children ages 4 months to 6 years of age. I have been a children’s therapist for 15 years and have worked with children and families professionally for 21 years and I am one of 3 individuals in the state of Utah registered to provide this course. It has been created from over 60 years of attachment research and neuroscience. From the Circle of Security website:
At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.
Using the COSP™ model developed by the Circle of Security originators, our trained Facilitators work with parents and care-givers to help them to:
Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs
Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
Enhance the development of their child's self esteem
Honor the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure

This is an 8 week group and each session is 1 1/2 hours long. It is held in my office in Bountiful, Utah, and is limited to 9 people each session. Because it is so highly specialized it is $50 per session for a total of $400 for the group, payable before the start of the group. If you are unable to attend a session at your scheduled time you can make it up during the other group.
Spring sessions:
Tuesdays at 9:30 am to 11:00 am, starting March 19th.
March 19th, 26th
April 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th (skip April 2nd due to Davis County schools spring break)
May 7th, 14th
Thursday at 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm, starting March 21st.
March 21st, 28th
April 11th, 25th (skip April 2nd due to Davis County schools spring break and the 25th because I have a speaking engagement.)
